How to play Vault

Every day there is one 4-digit code, the same for everyone. You get 7 guesses to crack it.

Every digit is different. The code uses four different digits 0–9 in some order — 1234 is a valid code, 5772 is not.

After each guess you only learn how many digits are right — never which ones. Guessing 2160 against the code 2965 returns 1 exact and 1 misplaced. Working out which digits those are is the puzzle. The full positions are revealed once the game ends.
